Community Education Procedure for Teacher Instructed After School Classes with Community Education
- Principal chooses enrichment classes for the campus
- Community Education creates class schedules and sends to the Principal for review
- Principal approves classes
- Interested teachers reach out to the vendor to find out more information
- Vendor and teacher sign contract as to job responsibility, payment, curriculum, materials, lessons, etc.
- Teacher requests/receives Principal approval (ComEd Teacher Acknowledgement Form)
- Teacher copies signed Acknowledgement Form to Community Education prior to the first day of class
- Teacher MUST contact your vendor for a substitute if you will be absent. Reporting to Absence Management system will not cover after school classes.

- Community Education 50% discount for a teacher’s child(ren) during the semester the teacher is teaching a class.
